Cabbage appetizer


The dish can be prepared on the previous day.



  1. Heat the bacon, onion and garlic in a large frying pan, add the oil and cabbage and continue heating at medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the broth, continue cooking and add the parsley.
  3. Remove from the stove, add the squeezed out gelatin and mix well.
  4. Portion into deep plates and cool in the fridge for 20-25 minutes before serving with toast.


  • 1 small Savoy cabbage cut in strips
  • 100 g streaky bacon cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 finely diced onion
  • 2 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1/2 bunch parsley
  • 1/8 – 1/4 L chicken broth
  • 2 leaves gelatin, soaked in cold water
  • Salt and pepper
